LinkedIn down? Users report problems with Android and iOS apps | Technology News

The professional networking platform LinkedIn seems to be facing some hiccups this evening, according to a bunch of user reports. While the website appears to be functioning normally, the mobile apps seem to be acting up.

Down Detector, a service that monitors website outages, has been inundated with hundreds of problem reports about LinkedIn since around 4:30 PM. Based on our checks, the issue seems to be affecting both the iOS and Android apps, with the app throwing vague error messages like “Slow or unstable connection” and “Something went wrong” when trying to access feeds.

Attempting to view connection requests is a no-go as well, with an annoying “No invitations here” message popping up. Trying to peek at someone’s profile is returning nothing too.

Strangely, LinkedIn’s own status page claims everything is “operational” across the board. The company has yet to acknowledge the apparent app issues publicly. But based on the volume of headaches documented online, it doesn’t seem to be a total meltdown impacting the entire user base.

For now, LinkedIn users might just have to kick it old school and fire up the web version if they need to network during this prospective outage.
