The Wrexham Academy of Screen Acting was launched by former Coronation Street actor Dean Fagan back in October 2023.

On launch day, Dean – who portrayed mechanic Luke Britton on the ITV show between 2014 and 2018 – hosted a free introductory class.

Next week, he will be joined by another former Corrie star, Ian Puleston-Davies at an event put on by the academy.

As well as portraying Owen Armstrong on the much-loved soap between 2010 and 2015, the Flint-born actor has also starred in the likes of Silent Witness, Waterloo Road, Midsomer Murders and more over the years.

Ian will be paying a visit to the event at Coleg Cambria Theatre (Yale) between 6pm and 9pm on Thursday, February 29.

Tickets (starting at £4 for adults and £2 for children) to the event are available to book here.

Those attending will be able to hear more about the actor’s journey from Coronation Street all the way through to writing and directing his feature film, “Bolan’s Shoes.”

Dean said: “We’re so thrilled to have Ian with us. Those coming along can learn from his experience and get inspired, while also gaining valuable insights from industry professionals.

“Don’t miss this unique opportunity to hear from Ian in North Wales, connect with industry experts, and delve into the world of screen acting. You can also join live online.”
