Wrexham: Food and Drink Fayre set to take place in city

The event takes place from 10am until 4pm on Queen’s Square on Saturday, April 6, and forms part of the monthly Wrexham Street Market on the square.

It will be made up of over 50 local independent traders, offering a wide selection of street food, hot drinks, beers and cocktails, desserts, cakes and confectionary, local produce and homemade goods, as well as handmade crafts and unique gifts.

There will also be entertainment in the form of acoustic music, with an undercover seating area for people to sit and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat whilst watching local musicians perform.

The event is to celebrate one year since Fern Evans took on the running of Wrexham Street Market.

Fern said: “The entry is completely free to the public, and we are sure that there will be something there for everyone. As well as the food vendors, we will have giant kids games and face painting.

“We re-started the street markets last April, and since then they have grown from strength to strength and gained a massive amount of support. So we’re really excited to be celebrating one year of trading with this fantastic event.”

The Wrexham Street Market was taken over by Fern in April 2023 and since then has come on leaps and bounds, tripling its number of local traders.
